Personal tips for tours

You tell us how many vertical meters and which surface you want to ride ... ... we recommend the right route for you ...

The mountain slopes of lake Weissensee valley are accessible through a variety of forest roads and paths. With considerate behavior, almost all of them can be driven on.
Many of them are officially marked and marked as mountain bike routes, so that you can find your way without a map or GPS.
Connections to the Drautal via the Tröbelsberg, the Feldbachscharte or Stockenboi open up countless other and challenging tours north of the Weißensee. Head south via the Naggler Alm or the Jadersdorferalm. First into the Gitschtal, then on to the Gailtal.
Since we also like to ride a race bike as well as mountain bikes ourselves, we have valuable tips for well-trained cyclists - always keep in mind that at the end of the day you still have to conquer Kreuzberg.

You can find a lot of information about mountain biking on the homepage of the tourist information office.

Pleasure cycling

there are easy and flat bike paths around the western part of lake Weissensee

Since the western part of lake Weissensee is neither built up on the north nor on the south bank, you can ride around the lake without any altitude. In addition, you almost always have a clear view of the lake with its reed belt and the adjacent green meadows. Places of strength and vantage points invite you to linger.
You only come across strollers, runners and now and then a farmer who tends the landscape for you.
E-bikes are becoming more and more popular and visits to the surrounding alpine pastures are also becoming a pleasure tour. Naggler Alm or Tschabitscher, for example, can be reached without a mountain bike via good forest roads.
The tourist office offers guided tours several times a week with different levels of difficulty and also driving technique courses on its own parcours.
